The U.S of A whirlwind tour: Part 2
I am now on a roll! :P i had wonderful visits and reunions back in CT with my mom, dad, and grandmothers - i was truly happy to be home and spend time with them. they loved their handmade cards from my english class too! :)

i tried to give details into my life in thailand, the work, the kids, the experiences tasted and smelt and heard...it was hard though, to give a piece of the picture and not be able to completely express it all. and their just wasn't enough time to do everything i wanted...say everything i wanted to.
*(i later regretted, on the plane crying, that i didn't give enough time to spend with my immediate family though...luckily, i know they love me and forgive me more than anyone else could. and october will be better, i promise!)
there was just a lot of "have to's" (and let's face it, "i want to's") as well as realizing that i won't see these people again for another year or more...that was sad to me and i drove myself into a visiting machine! (literally, i mean, at least 3 visits a day - crazy talk!) i was exhausted and had started my trip with a chest cold (and left a month later with bronchitus) not cool - but i have to say worth it all! :) i had great welcome homes, awesome hugs, and meaningful talks about life, love, 80's music, thailand, and child abuse (sounds like a weird mix, but that is ME!) :)
God has blessed me with amazing friendships and contacts. i truly am in awe of the ways He guides my path to cross with so many different people. the wonderful churches, interested strangers, close friends...and how i can learn so much about life and myself through not only life experiences (theirs and mine), but even MY experiences through THEIR eyes. it's awesome. so, i went to town - i really can't name them all - but it was FUN and busy and sweet: babies, marrieds, engageds, singletons, old co-workers, roomies, Berkshire relatives, church friends, neighbors, strangers, children, churches, RI college friends, Boston grad school friends, best friends, old friends, new friends, camp friends, supporters, prayer warriors, quasi love interests..., and let's not forget BON JOVI! :) (concert #3, baby!) *shout out to my girl Danny T!

thanx for the memories. i love you, too, jon bon! :) *he really is an awesome guy. during the preshow, he showed clips of the new documentary "An Inconvienient Truth" by Al Gore, no less! it's about global warming and how we need to recognize the damage we've done and be prepared for the future the world holds (scary, right?!) it actually looks really interesting. **ya know, just some fun facts for you - jon bon also advocates for many worthy causes! 911 families, katrina disaster, builds habitat for humanity houses, has a charity football team...what can't this man do?! i'm still praying he's a Christian - i want to see that man in heaven! :)

then i went for a wonderful 3 day weekend with my older (but younger looking!) sister in Martha's Vineyard!

(i love this picture. and because it's also the picture taken after we went on a literal 5 second ferry ride to see Chappaquiddick...in the dark...not so much to see!) hahaha

(Egdartown lighthouse view)
a first time to MV for both of us (i know, sad, we're from WMass?) - sooooo much fun that i can't even share it all because you'll be jealous! :) a relaxing weekend of perfect sun, nothing but fun, PHENOMENAL food, and sisterly love! i am so thankful for our friendship, interest in each others lives, and mutual interests in the art of relaxing!

(note the Thailand Herbal Wine, brought with love from the Land of Smiles!)
what a great time - really - it couldn't have been better. i mean, we played croquet...ok?! hahaha. enjoy the pics and check out The Inn at Blueberry Hill (www.blueberryinn.com) for your next getaway - truly fabu.

(private view from our deck - ohhhhh, the memories.)

"have a nice day", friends!
