South East Asia vacation: Part 3

<Cambodia

*worst – beggars/tuk tuks
*best – food variety

Siem Reap

*HEAT! I can't explain the crazy hot hot hot weather...sticky, sweaty, wet, humid, gross.
*Small town feel – westernized

*Girl watching – police, drivers, immigration officers - you name it, they looked at it?
*Angkor Wat – 12 hours of walking around the massive and impressive ruins from sunrise
to sunset!
*with my Laos friend!

*Beggars – the worst I’ve seen in a country…children and disabled.

Angkor Wat girls 1) selling postcards – stalking me and calling me a “f---ing dog” for not buying!? Saying -“Sorry doesn’t get my anywhere”. 2) sweet girl selling bracelets and reciting all the US capitals she can in English!
3) adorable girl (Shira) – 12 years old so beautiful and sweet selling scarves – just wanted to talk...i bought this scarf! :)
Girls saying to my friend: “No money, no honey”, “your mouth says No but your eyes say Yes”…a very sad display.
*Co-ed bathrooms at local restaurants on bus stop
*Krama locally made scarves
*Malaria area? Forgot to get pills - hope i'm ok!?

Phnom Penh

*2 guesthouse guys! My Cambodian "geeks"!
*Getting ‘checked out’ by Monks?!
*S-21 Tuol Sleung Museum - an old schoolhouse turned into an execution site for over 8,000 people murdered by the Khmer Rouge. A disturbing tour of the torture site.

*National Museum - a run in with my new Laos friend!

*The Killing Fields (another outing with my Laos friend!)- a devestating walk through the 86 mass graves of murdered individuals. buried clothing, teeth, skulls, and bones scattered about the grounds. It was horrifying.

*Tuk Tuk drivers the worst I’ve ever experienced – grabbing you off the bus, taking your luggage to their motos, harassing you on the street…i even twisted my ankle from a persistent tuk tuk driver! :(

I'm sure i could write tons more, but that's it for now...enjoy the pics and read up on the history of these sights!
